Life's important conversations
So I'm riding with the wife to the grocery store when a song comes on the radio. My wife reaches for the radio to change it.
I say "wait that's Neil Diamond."
She says "I know who it is, I hate his stuff."
What? How can you hate Neil Diamond?
Well I do, this is terrible
Neil Diamond? everybody likes Neil Diamond
I don't
and with that she changed the channel.
You think you know somebody then you find out they don't like Neil Diamond. It's like I'm living with a perfect stranger.
Oh, and P.S. I wear an extra large t-shirt. Not large, I haven't worn large in 15 years. So unless you're buying t-shirts for you and just saying they're for me it's extra large. Like always. Just thought you would want to know. Thanks.

My "now I'm living with a perfect stranger" moment was when "Me and Bobby Mcgee" by Janis Joplin came on the radio.
I said: I really like this song.
He said: Who is this?
*blink*
What do you mean "who is this"?!
My whole world suddenly became twisted to me.
And that's how it goes everyday when a song I like shuffles it's way onto iTunes.
He wouldn't know Neil Diamond if I introduced the two of them at a formal dinner.
"Excuse me, Mr Diamond this is my husband James."
James: "Um, what was your name again?"
*sigh*

Lindsay & Spiller: Neil Diamond is still preforming today. He was one of the top concert draws all through the 90's. I know he's more like your parents music but it's hard not to tap your toe at his stuff. :)
Good question about the station Spiller, LOL, when the wife and I ride together we try to find some common ground on the radio( that means we listin to what she likes as you can see by the post she turned the station) but it was an oldies station. the 90's and before. :)

I wonder if pod people are slowly taking over our lives. How else can you explain our mates not knowing/not liking our music choices?!
