OMG, what has happened to common sense? A 13 year old boy was suspended from Payne Junior High for five days for drawing the above picture. The school officials claim this drawing is a threat to his classmates. WTF? Maybe if he balled it up and threw it at them as hard as he could or if he ran around trying to give them a paper cut.
On top of it, this drawing sucks. I thought it was a bus at first. Holy shit, there's no way you could shoot anybody with it because the damn thing isn't even straight. And wtf is on the front of it, teeth? I guess if you run out of bullets you can bite someone with it? I can't even identify what's hanging off the trigger. Maybe it's some kind of nuclear switch. The grip is out of proportion as well. Where the hell do you put the clip? This kid is 13 and drawing crap like this? He should have gotten five days suspension for drawing like a first grader.
Come on people, be serious!!!

If you look at it sideways it's a sunrise behind a skyscraper.
The little floating thing is a... well... maybe it's a silly flag, and you can't see the flagpole because of the glare from the sun.

I think it's a submarine. See all the windows on the sides? The long part in the back is the new propulsion system that the kid is designing - guidance system and silent propellers in a low-profile housing. I think the thing dangling from the bottom is the price tag.
Or, it could be a crude rendition of a sub-machine gun.
Either way, seems to me that the drawing (juvenile as it may be) is not outside the realm of things that normal 13-year-old boys would be interested in.
A sad state of affairs, to be sure. I'm not even going to read the linked article, because I honest-to-God DON'T WANT TO KNOW what the reasoning behind this was.

I agree Daughter but I just couldn't resist reading the link, I must be a full witness to the collapse of society, I wasn't disappointed either, OMG, WTF!
(The thingy under the trigger is an extension support with a wheel, it's a very big gun.)

I know it's ridclious. We read stuff like that in the papers all the time over here. People have NO common sense, I think that's the point!
I wouldn't have seen the submarine if Daughter hadn't have pointed it out, but there it is.
I'm still sticking with my skyscraper. So much more deadly!! Think of all the oxygen being used up by the people who are wasting away at their job, the people smoking outside, the fumes from the cars people are using to get there... Way more damage then a silly gun.
