Smile on...

Updated 2

It's been a while since I've done a major update on my mp3 player. All the song suggestions I have received from you in the past have been great. They have allowed me to listen to music that I would have otherwise never given a chance.

So if you have any suggestions, songs you have just discovered or classics that are worth turning back the clock for, please let me know. Because I'm still listening and I'm still smilin'.

So far I have these;

Tiny Little Fractures - Snow Patrol
Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Do Ya - ELO
Since You Been Gone - Rainbow
Shiver - Clodplay
Been Caught Stealing - Janes Addiction
Human Nature - Madonna
Over My Head - The Fray
Times Like These - Foo Fighters
Mr. Sandman - The Chordettes (Can't find the Cordettes version, yet)
Gravity - Sara Bareilles
I love Fergie - Big girls don't cry
She's so lovely - Scouting for girls
Hey there delilah - plain white ts
Robyn - With every heartbeat
Sugababes - about you now

The Editors are very good. Snow Patrol are worth a listen to. Muse are excellent for a bit of rock.

Thanks Darren, any particular songs? I am very musically challenged, especially with new music. Seems for years I was stuck in a Beatles state of mind :)

Something that is good, but also fits your personality or mood.

"Do Ya?" by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)... worth revisiting, in my opinion. It always makes me smile. :-)

Oh, and "Since You Been Gone" by Rainbow (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow). One of my all-time favorites. :-)

No particular songs. I have stopped listening to particular songs. I used to be very musically challenged myself, but now I listen to an album through a few times and get into it. I think you get a better feel for a band when you listen to the album right through.

The Frays album is good, liked "How to save a life" and downloaded the album based on that.

Muse album to start with: Black holes and revelations

Editors: only have 2 albums. Give them both a listen.

Oh and an old album thats very good,

Pearl Jam - Ten

'I used to be very musically challenged myself, but now I listen to an album through a few times and get into it' this is exactly what I do now! :)

And just another thing we have in common! we are far too alike. I am just a bigger tit.... allegedly.

I LOVE over my head by Fray. There are sooo many songs I like at the moment but I don't know who they are by.
I love Fergie - Big girls don't cry
and lots more "band type songs" If I remember I will add them to your list!

Darren: please don't get a contest going on who's the biggest tit. although now that I think about it... hmmm

Am I the only musically challenged person left on the planet? Good suggestions everybody. I look forward to enjoying them. :)

'over my head' by the Fray is a good one to run to.

Darren: I can confirm you are the biggest tit, David you fought well - but you come a close second.

Sorry David - you won't know what I'm talking about - but did anyone hear Like I Love You (Justin Timberlake) covered by Maximo Park
this morning?

sorry - on radio 1.

Nah Abe Simpson is the same:

"I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me."

As a runner I would not say every heart beat by Robyn. I prefer something like Pink you and your hand or I'm not dead by Pink OR Rhythm is a dancer by snap!!! But everyone is different.
