Ha, I remember having a Raid setup at home when doing my college work, only for a power surge to blow the controllers on the hard drives. Lost my final year project a month before it was due to be handed in.
That had to suck Darren. Sometimes I really hate computers.
I put a relatively cheap desktop in the kitchen because the kids play on it. You should see my two year old daughter bang on the keyboard. Most of the time I laugh when I find files open that I didn't even know existed. The settings get changed and so on but usually a restart fixes most of it. Not so this time. I had to reformat.
To answer your question TT, I didn't lose much but I lost what I can't replace, pictures. I hadn't backed up my Christmas pictures yet :( Although I did upload a few online. I should have known better.

I feel a great loss in your post. I'm very intuitive though! *wink*
A great loss indeed. Damn it! :(
Sorry.
*hug*
