Stay Back

Has anyone given any thought to microwave ovens???

Follow me here. The door that protects you from the microwave radiation is made of glass or some sort of plastic. The dishes you place in the microwave oven, in most cases, are made of glass or plastic. If the microwaves can penetrate the containers holding the food why can't they escape through the door made of the same material?! I don't think they are heavy enough to be lead lined or something like that. What the hell?

Mine is mounted above the stove, about my head height. I'm not making any connection with that and my receding hair line but then again...

When ours was above our stove, I use to warm up my food with my head resting on the door, pondering the waves that might be seeping into my brain.
I considered wearing a tin foil hat, but I bake too much to spare any...

LOL!

I heard the foil hat was helpful during zombie attacks as well.

If you ever opt for one a picture would be nice to laugh at...er, I mean look at. :p

I think you mean alien invasions, not zombie attacks.
If you were wearing a foil hat in a zombie attack, you'd look like one of those yummy wrapped dinners from the fancy restaurant that's always shaped like a swan or something...
*nod*
They'd chew right through the foil to get to the b-r-r-r-rains.
