Please don't give money

I have this Aunt who lives on the other side of the country. She is the sweetest lady in the world but she does this one thing that really bugs me. She sends me money for Christmas. She has done this since I was a child and has never stopped. Well I'm not a child anymore and I never get her anything because I bearly know her. More than a few times I have forgotten to send her a thank you note so that means guilt, guilt, guilt when I do remember. One year I decided to not cash the check until I actually wrote the note but forgot and that screwed up her checking account. Again I felt bad. To make matters worse she really doesn't have the money and if she does her sons are going through hard time so they could use it more. So I feel bad.

I just got her card today and yes she did it again, damn it! She sent cash at that, I mean she mailed me cash through the US Post office. Well it's off to Walmart to buy a damn thank you card before I forget. I know this sounds horrible but really I'm 38 years old. I'm past appretiating money more than the card. Just send the card Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease. Please, Please.

Yeah the guilt is crazy this time of year. Maybe next year you should send her a card with some money in it before she can get one to you. Or send it back in the thank you card.
I have a friend who exchanges a $20 with his brother every birthday. It's same the $20 that they've been using for almost thirty years. Back and forth, back and forth. No one looses anything.

That's very funny. Funny how one thing reminds you of another. I have a business associate (boy that sounds grown up doesn't it) that has a funny tradition like that. Her son made a ceramic face in school at age 5. Very ugly from what she said. Well over the years her family, aunts, cousins and all, gave it to each other as a gift. Soon they were writing songs about it and every xmas they didn't know who would get it or were it had been. They have been doing this for 25 years. It sounded like fun to me so I had a little elf statue and I started moving it around and asking my oldest who was 4 at the time who moved it. It became a fun game to find the magic elf when he disappeared. At Christmas I wrapped him up and gave it to him and he thought that was great. So now we live with a magic elf in the house. I hope one day when he figures it out he will wrap it up and give it to me and we will have this fun tradition for the rest of our lives.

THat is a cute page I am going to share it with my oldest.

Question, being the old man that I am I'm not as with it as I may like to think. How do you get the link not to show when you post it, like you did with the word 'Here' which is up there. Does that make sense? Now I'm confused.

Okay... It just won't work the way I'm trying to do it for some reason. The reason the word HERE shows up is because instead of writing the link I put it in HTML. I tried to write the tags down to show you what it would look like but when I do that blogger won't except them.
Never the less, your question made sense, and it's HTML.
